Stuart is the home of the Strawberry Festival (May), the Virginia State Peach Festival (August) and the Apple Dumpling Festival (October). Located in the town of Stuart are: County Courthouse, County Library, Historical Society, Honduras Coffee Shop, Historic Star Theatre, Downtown farmer market and much more.
Named after Maj. Gen. J. E. B. Stuart, CSA. Special Uptown Development project is underway now. Plans for a new amphitheatre, farmer's market shed and restrooms downtown.
