The Patrick County Chamber of Commerce will host a Candidate
Info Session on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the P&HCC Stuart
Site. This informative session is
designed for residents interested in learning more about local elected offices
and the steps required to become a candidate.
The event will provide a comprehensive overview of: (1) How to become a
local candidate. (2) The role and
responsibilities of the local Electoral Board. (3) The do(s) and don’t(s) of
campaigning. (4) New electoral legislation. (5) An overview of the local
precinct map. Whether you are
considering a run for office or simply want to become a more informed voting
citizen, this session will offer valuable insights into the local electoral
process. Presenter will be Susan Taylor,
Director of Elections and Registrar for Patrick County. The Patrick County Chamber of Commerce
encourages community members to attend and take advantage of this opportunity
to better understand how local government works and how to get involved.
