The Future Virginia Mayo River State Park Needs Your Voice!

Virginia State Parks and Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation invite you to participate in the virtual Master Plan Public Meeting for Virginia’s future Mayo River State Park. Thursday, March 12, 2026, 6pm to 8 p.m. (virtual only). Open to the public. No registration required. Those interested in attending can join at: https://www.dcr.virginia.gov/mayo-river-master-plan-meeting

This 10-year plan will help guide the park’s management and development and identify its natural, cultural and physical resources. During the meeting, representatives from DCR, Virginia State Parks and Kimley-Horn: Engineering Planning and Design Consultants will present updates, discuss potential developments and gather public input on future park facilities, trails, visitor experiences and environmental stewardship.
