Fairy Stone State Park - 967 Fairystone State Park  - Stuart, VA 24171 

Stuart's Knob Trailhead: This trail begins on Iron Mine Trail and features an iron mine once used by Fayerdale residents, as well as an overlook of Fairy Stone Lake. It then transitions into the Upper and Lower Stuart's Knob Trails. Lower Stuart's Knob offers an overlook of Bull Mountain, while Upper Stuart's Knob features steep terrain that rewards hikers with stunning views of Fairy Stone Lake. The entire hike is approximately 1.5 miles long. Dates: September 18, 2026 and September 30th, 2026, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
