The Stokes County Arts Council is pleased to announce the opening of an exhibition of original art by artist, Sarah Booze, in the Apple Gallery. A reception for this exhibit, entitled “Summer Memories,” is scheduled for Saturday, July 12th from 4:30pm-6:00pm in the Apple Gallery of the Stokes County Arts Council 500 Main Street Danbury, NC. Born and raised in the foothills of North Carolina, Sarah Katherine Booze has been drawing and painting since the age of 12 but started her professional art career in 2017. A self-taught artist, Sarah always found herself drawn to the beauty and wonder of natural landscapes and began to paint the places around her. Her paintings are inspired by her home in rural North Carolina, as well as the many places she travels to. She has won numerous awards and recognitions along the east coast for her acrylic and gouache landscape paintings. Sarah has amassed an online following and incorporates social media into her art practice by sharing her art and skills with others. Her passion for art and education has led to many teaching opportunities, she currently teaches youth painting classes at Sawtooth School of Visual Arts in Winston-Salem, NC. This exhibit will be on display July 1-August 15, 2025 in the Apple Gallery. The Stokes County Arts Council is open to the public Monday through Friday, 9:00am-6:00pm, Saturday, 10:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. For additional information about the exhibit, please contact the Stokes County Arts Council at (336) 593-8159 or visit www.stokesarts.org.
