The attached picture was taken of Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Meadows of Dan, Va on June 1st, 2007, by Tom Bishop, Executive Director of the Patrick County Chamber of Commerce

This is one of the most photographed locations on the Parkway and the entire National Park System. The flower on the right in the picture is the Catawba Rhododendron. One of my favorites. At this point, the Rhododendron, the Flame Azalea and the Mountain Laurel are in bloom on the Parkway.
