SURREY BANCORP REPORTS 2006 PROFITS OF MORE THAN 2 MILLION

Mt. Airy-based Surrey Bancorp announced Wednesday that it had posted earnings of $2,650,893 or $.076 per fully diluted share for 2006.
Branches are also located at 653 S. Key St. in Pilot Mountain and 303 S. Main St. in Stuart, Va.
The earnings represent a 20 percent increase in profitability from 2005 when the company reported earnings of $2,200,812 or $0.63 per fully diluted share.
SURREY BANCORP is the bank holding company for Surrey Bank & Trust at 145 N. Renfro St. in Mt. Airy. In addition to Renfro Street, the bank operated branch offices at 1280 W. Pine St. and 2050 Rockford St. in Mt. Airy.
