FREE Customer Service Training

Virginia Tourism Corporation presents a Free Customer Service Training for the Hospitality Industry at the Patrick Henry Community College-Patrick Campus, Stuart, VA

Free Customer Service Training Available VIRGINIA TOURISM CORPORATION SAYS CHOOSE YOUR ATTITUDE “Choosing your attitude is the essential first step to improving your skills and providing better customer service to the visitor�, says Bobbie Walker, Director of Customer Service and Industry Relations for Virginia Tourism Corporation. Employees can create a better working atmosphere while enhancing the customer’s experience. Virginia Tourism’s Customer Service Training will focus on the following program objectives: giving front-line employees the confidence and support they need to shine as hosts; identifying why customer service is beneficial to your business and your community; identifying and practicing behaviors that improve customer service; and increasing awareness and knowledge of local attractions, history and culture. Training sessions will be held on February 6th in Big Stone Gap at Mountain Empire Community College; February 7th in Wytheville at Wytheville Heritage Center; and on February 8th in Patrick County at Patrick Henry Community College- Patrick Campus. Training sessions will be offered twice each day to provide tourism employees the opportunity to attend the most convenient session. Sessions are FREE. Session one will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 and session two will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mrs. Bobbie Walker, Director of Customer Service and Industry Relations for Virginia Tourism Corporation, will be the speaker for this training. Mrs. Walker has the responsibility of satisfying customer needs via the state's ten welcome centers, consumer services center and publication distribution center. As a liaison with Virginia's tourism industry partners, Mrs. Walker works directly with Virginia destinations and attractions, conducting customer service training programs to continually improve the visitor experience.
