Volunteer Training for CONTACT Organization Announced

CONTACT Volunteer training will be held on Saturday mornings beginning in August. Training is offered free of charge to anyone willing to commit to 8 hours a month for 12 months. We provide 24/7 phone coverage in 4 hour increments during the day and an 8 hour overnight shift. We believe that every person should:Have access to a confidential, anonymous crisis line; Have an opportunity to be heard without judgment or condemnation; Be empowered in the choices that they can make that affect their lives; Have relevant information about the services available in the community.
Volunteering with CONTACT can be your opportunity to provide this hope or reassurance that callers need. Offering hope to someone who feels helpless can be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life.
