National College Reports on Achievements of Registered Med Assistants

MARTINSVILLE, VA —All 10 winter term graduates of the medical assisting program at the Martinsville Campus of National College (www.national-college.edu) achieved a passing score on the national Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam

The following students graduated from the medical assisting degree program in Martinsville and passed the RMA exam in February: * Annie Dillon of Bassett * Diana Key of Bassett * Tiffany Brown of Eden, NC * Detra Neal of Eden, NC * Phyllis Rogers of Fieldale * Katherine Flippen of Martinsville * Christina Nortell of Martinsville * Krystal Watts of Martinsville * Ashley Hodge of Ridgeway * Diamond Oliver of Ridgeway “We are so proud of these students for the achievements they’ve made in their chosen field of study.� commented John Scott, campus director at the Martinsville Campus. “Our graduates are consistently proving that a quality education makes for a quality employee, and we wish them all luck and much success as they enter into the next phase of their career journey.� Medical assistants are highly trained medical professionals who perform both clinical and administrative tasks in medical environments. National’s associate degree program in medical assisting is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) on recommendation of the Medical Assisting Education Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants' Endowment (AAMAE). Graduates of the program are eligible to sit for national certification exams in medical assisting; those who pass the RMA exam are entitled to use the professional designation RMA.
