Woolwine Man Killed in Logging Accident

Mr. Jesse Lee Allen “Junior� Hubbard, age 30 of Woolwine, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011 in Floyd as the result of a logging accident. He was born in Patrick County on April 30, 1980.

Mr. Hubbard was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Horace Hubbard, and his grandparents, Jesse Willard Hubbard and Hilda Ruth Hubbard. He was a logger and a farmer, loved to ride motorcycles, and was always ready to help anyone in need. Mr. Hubbard is survived by his wife, Glenda Mae Hylton Hubbard of the home; two children, Gilbert and Gracelyn Hubbard of the home; a special son, David Allen; his mother, Penny Strader Hubbard of Stuart; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wilbert and Glenda Hylton of Woolwine; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Robert Stover of Woolwine; brother-in-law, Wilbert Hylton of Woolwine; aunts, Ann Massey of Stuart; Hope Hubbard of Woolwine, Betsy Hubbard of Stuart, Judy Joyce of Meadows of Dan, Joyce Faye Rodgers of Stuart and Lucille Elgin of Stuart; uncles, Edward Hubbard of Stuart, Sam Hubbard of Stuart, William Hubbard of Roanoke, Billy Hubbard of Stuart and Charlie Hubbard of Stuart. Funeral services for Mr. Hubbard will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Hubbard Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
