'The Stuart Fire Department is hosting a Bone Marrow Drive for our chief Buddy Dollarhite on Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 11 am - 2pm.
Since my last e-mail, the need has become more urgent. The time frame for Buddy needing the bone marrow transplant in two years has been shortened to this summer, if a match is found.
PLEASE CONSIDER:
attending our "Swabbing Party" at the Fire House next week-end. If you are unable to attend, please consider joining the Be The Match Registry by visiting www.marrow.org.
making a tax-deductible donation to Buddy's Bone Marrow Drive (c/o Stuart Fire Department-PO Box 561-Stuart, VA 24171) because:
There is NO CHARGE to potential donors to join the Be The Match Registry, however the cost of processing each kit is approximately $100-Direct donations to the Be The Match Registry can be made by visiting (www.bethematchfoundation.org/goto/thebuddyclub)
There are age limitations and we know a lot of you want to help in some way!

Recognition of The Town of Stuart's proclamation of "Chief Buddy Dollarhite Day"
Recognition of "Buddy Dollarhite Day" in Patrick County
Free tours of our fire house
Free Hot Dogs, Chips (donated by Gravely's Vending), Drinks (donated by Pepsi), and desserts (provided by some of Patrick County's greatest cooks!)
Music by: New Jerusalem, The Glory Road Singers, Special Duet by Kaleigh and Bruce Griffith, The Over the Hill Gang and possible more...
Door Prizes throughout the day, including but not limited to : Mary Kay Satin Hands set given by Connie Nester, Bill Monroe Prints and books donated by Doug Hutchens, A signed set of Martin Clark books, A $25 Visa Card donated by River Community Bank, and more hopefully on the way.
Special visit by NASCAR affiliated personnel
