Wood and Steel to Perform at Patrick Co. Music Association-Feb. 26

Wood & Steel Perform PCMA – February 26, 2011 – Stuart, VA Tight and smooth vocals, rock-solid rhythm and outstanding instrumental punch are hallmarks of the Wood & Steel sound who is performing at the Patrick County Music Association (PMCA) Jamboree this Saturday, February 26th at Rotary Field in Stuart, VA. Doors open at 3:30 PM. Wood & Steel carry on traditional bluegrass with their original songs along with a variety of well know artist and songs. They are from North Carolina and well respected in the bluegrass genre. Ed Dodson began by listening to his father playing reels and breakdowns and now is lead singer, tenor, and plays guitar. He has written the guitar method book, "Deep Bluegrass Guitar - Some Hot Licks and Slick Tricks". The youngest member Joey Lemons sings lead and tenor and plays the mandolin. His soaring vocals and intricate cross-picking style has added a special spark to the Wood & Steel sound. Snuffy Smith not only manufactures the world famous banjo bridge, bearing his name is sings baritone and plays banjo. Jacque Smith is the newest member plays on her vintage Kay bass for Wood & Steel. Also performing at the PCMA are Bill Narrow Road, Herbert, Tina & Cathrine Conner, Highway South, Chords of Faith and Lone Ivy String Band. Doors open at 3:30 PM music starts at 4:30 PM.
