National College Host Career Fair and Fall Showcase

National College’s Lynchburg Campus to Host Career Fair & Fall Showcase on Oct. 21. Open to the public; free service for employers, prospective employees alike.

LYNCHBURG – The Lynchburg Campus of National College (www.national-college.edu; 104 Candlewood Court) will be hosting its Career Fair & Fall Showcase on Thursday, October 21, from noon until 4 p.m. The event is free of charge and open to the public. “There are opportunities available for people with the right skills in today’s economy,� says Campus Director William Baker. “Our Fall Showcase will also allow visitors to explore the many job training opportunities we offer.� Members of the public wishing to attend are encouraged to bring résumés and “dress for success.� Some employers will conduct initial interviews on the spot. Organizations tentatively scheduled to be present include the Central Virginia Training Center, Frito Lay, Sam’s Club, Stellar One, the U.S. Postal Service, Wachovia, as well as recruiters from the Army, Navy, and Air Force. Prospective employers are also encouraged to attend the fair to connect with our upcoming graduates and members of the general public and discuss the benefits of a career with your organization. Tables, chairs, and lunch are provided to employers attending the fair, all free of charge. Founded in 1886, National College is dedicated to the training and education of men and women for a full life and a successful career in a number of fields in business, computers, and health care. The Lynchburg Campus offers bachelor’s degree in business administration—management, five associate degrees, and 10 diploma programs to more than 400 students.
