20th Annual J. E. B. Stuart Encampment & Living History

The J.E.B Stuart Birthplace Preservation and Trust announces the 20th Annual J. E. B. Stuart Encampment and Living History Saturday and Sunday October 2 & 3, 2010, “rain or shine�. There will be a wide variety of activities for the whole family’s enjoyment.
This year we have “The Hunley� Exhibit. This is the exhibit of the Confederate Submarine.
Other activities include, Council of War by Civil War Generals, Civil War battles, 1800’s fashion show, Black Rose Memorial Services, Saturday night dance, Candle Light Tour, Sunday Morning Church Service, String Music, Food Vendors, Civil War Sutlers and hundreds of reenactors. Infantry demonstration on Saturday at 10:00am and Sunday at 11:30am by reenactors. Battles are at 1:00 pm Saturday, “Battle of Brandy Station� and Sunday 2:00pm “Battle of Stoney Ridge/Longstreets’ Flank Attack�
Gates open at 9:00am Saturday and closes at 4:00pm Sunday. Flag raising 9:30am Saturday morning. Admission is $8.00 adults, children 12 and under are free and parking is free.
