South Fork Ramblers Play At Mabry Mill-Meadows of Dan

The South Fork Ramblers played music at Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway, near Meadows of Dan on Sunday, September 5, 2010 for flat footing dancers.
It was a great weather day, with blue skies, and lots of Labor Day Holiday families on the Blue Ridge Parkway on a Sunday afternoon, to enjoy sitting in lawn chairs under the shade trees and listening to Old Time music. Many adults and children stepped up to the dance floor.
The South Fork Ramblers are from Grayson County, VA. They play routinely at the Blue Ridge Music Center, further South on the Parkway.
2010 is the 75th Anniversary for the Blue Ridge Parkway. The big celebration will be next weekend (September 10-12) at Cumberland Knob and the Blue Ridge Music Center, near the NC and VA line. Governors from both states will be on hand to meet visitors for this important celebration, along with Dr. Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys.
