Griffith Lumber Receives Grant for $70,000-Woolwine

Griffith Lumber of Woolwine, VA received a check for $70,000 from the Virginia Tobacco Indemnification Fund on May 26, 2010. On hand for the presentation was Tom Rose, Economic Development Director and Assistant County Administrator, Del. Ward Armstrong
And Smith River Board of Supervisor Crystal Harris.
Receiving the check was Bruce, Bill and Bud Griffith, owners.
Griffith Lumber is to be contratulated for rebuilding the lumber plant after a massive fire that destroyed it last year. They have saved approximately 50 jobs in Patrick County.
