Patrick County Administrator, Jay Scudder was awarded a raise of $7,416, increasing his salary to $84,996 at the County Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, May 24, 2010

The vote by County Supervisors was 3-2, with Crystal Harris and Karl Weiss voting no. The motion was made by Dr. Lock Boyce with Roger Hayden and Ron Knight voting for the proposal. Mr. Scudder has a contract that includes severance pay equal to one year's salary, if terminated without cause. The decision was made after they went into Executive Session after 10:00pm, when the press and general public had left the meeting.
