High school bands competete from around the region. Admission $5. Concessions. The show begins at 4:00pm. 8:00pm awards presentation. 7:30pm Patrick County High band performs in exhibition
Bands will be coming from high schools around the region to compete. Showtime starts at 4:00 on the football field. Admission is $5 and there will be concessions available. At 7:30 there will be an exhibition performance by the "Pride of Patrick County, the Marching Cougars".
After our band performs, there will be a special presentation to the family of one of our former band members, Mr. Jesse Wood Sheppard. (If you will recall, he passed away in June as the result of a tragic auto accident.)
At 8:00, we will have our awards presentation. Our final award will be the William F. Pons Memorial Band of the Day, which will be presented by Mr. Pons' widow, Mrs. Ilene Pons.
