The Patrick County of Chamber Commerce announces the official ornament for 2009, which is a beautiful picture of the Reynolds Homestead in Critz, VA.
The Reynolds Homestead is the birthplace and boyhood home of Mr. Richard Joshua Reynolds, who started R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. The home was built in 1843. Another member of the Reynolds family, Richard S. Reynolds, Sr., nephew of R. J., founded the Reynolds Metals Company
