YOUNGEST FIDDLER WINNER PLAYS AT PCMA

The Patrick County Music Association is known for finding talented bluegrass musicians of all ages within the surrounding counties. This months Jamboree features the Snyder Family Band who has the prestigious honor of having the youngest awarded fiddler player. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear these talented young musicians at the PCMA on Saturday, August 22nd at in Stuart, VA.
The Snyder Family Band loves to play bluegrass music together. When Zeb was seven he began classical guitar lessons, by the age of eleven he found his favorite style of playing the guitar – flatpicking. In 2007, he won the top prize, a Wayne C. Henderson guitar, at the Jimmy Edmonds Homecoming Competition in Galax, VA. His sister Samantha started classical violin at the age of three. When she was four she was playing duets with Zeb. She began jam sessions and competing at fiddler’s conventions and in 2008 she was the youngest ever to win Fiddler of the Festival at Fiddler’s Grove in NC. Samantha also enjoys singing lead and harmony vocals. Their father Bud play bass and their mother Laine sings harmony. Bluegrass lovers won’t want to miss this performance of these young, talented musicians.
This months PCMA Jamboree includes Bill and Maggie Anderson, The Highlanders, Herbert, Tina and Cathrine Conner, Jason Harris and Friends, Marcie Horne Band and Henry Mabe and Friends.
