Jamestown Pipe and Drum Plays for the Highland Games

The Jamestown Pipe and Drum played for the 2nd Annual Highland Games at Laurel Hill in Ararat, VA on April 25. The event was attended by approximatel 1200 people and it was a beautiful day.
Glenn King was the event organizer, bringing together all the heavy athletic events plus the Scottish Clans. There was great food with Lumpies Home Made Ice Cream, local BBQ, Fried Apple pies by Robin Scales and other concessons by Ararat Fire and Rescue.
We are very proud of the excitement generated by this event and those so interested in their family history and the history of Maj. Gen. J. E. B. Stuart, CSA, who was of the Scotch Irish tradition.
