Dear Parent/Supporter of Stuart Elementary School:
As you are aware, the Patrick County School Board has approved my recommendation that Mrs. Cyndi Williams, Principal of Stuart Elementary School be promoted to
Coordinator for Federal Programs, effective July 1, 2009. In her new role, Mrs. Williams
will bring her expertise in instruction and family involvement. We thank Mrs. Williams
for her valuable service to Stuart Elementary School and let us continue to support her in
her new role.
Over the last three months we have conducted a search for the new principal of Stuart.
We are pleased to inform you that Mrs. Tammy Waldron, current Assistant Principal for
Instruction at Patrick County High School, has been named as Principal-Designate, and is
expected to assume her duties July 1, 2009. Mrs. Waldron comes to Stuart with a great
deal of experience, both as an administrator and as a teacher. Her instructional
knowledge will prove to be valuable to the faculty and staff. It is interesting to note that
she is also the parent of a student at Stuart, which will bring an added perspective in her
new role. Mrs. Waldron has a master’s degree from the University of Virginia and is
interested in pursuing her doctorate in the future. You will have an opportunity to meet
Mrs. Waldron at an event in the near future.
As a parent and supporter of Stuart Elementary School, I ask for your support and
assistance in the transition process. As always, if you have questions, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Roger N. Morris, Ed, D.
Division Superintendent
