Attention Business Owners
In today’s economy, the survival of small business has never been more challenging. Finding new markets, accessing financing and connecting to resources is vital to weathering economic crisis. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance has partnered with Patrick County Economic Development to offer one-on-one business development counseling sessions in the second floor conference room at the Patrick County Administration Building on March 30 from 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m. The one hour private sessions are by appointment only and are designed to help participants better understand state government purchasing, using market research to find customers, and other resources to help grow your business.

One of the questions I hear asked most often from business owners is how can they increase their sales and grow their customer base. How do I get registered with Virginia's Electronic Procurement System (eVA), get SWAM certified and use the system to target the state and local government markets. Past participants have expressed amazement at the opportunities within state and local government, and how they can use the system to find private sector markets.
Contact me at 276-676-3768 or by email at sandy.ratliff@vdba.virginia.gov to schedule a one hour session.
I look forward to working with you. Thanks!
