New Lodge Under Construction at Primland-Meadows of Dan

The new lodge and restuarant for Primland Resort is under construction with a planned opening in the Summer of 2009. Members of the Meadows of Dan Community toured the property on March 12.
The Lodge at Primland it is building on top a mountain in Patrick County will become a Five-Diamond destination.
Those are high aspirations for the 12,000 acres that the Dida Primat family of Geneva, Switzerland, bought in Patrick County for a logging operation in 1977. It is located on Busted Rock Road three miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The 72,000-square-foot lodge is scheduled to have a “soft opening,� or trial run, early this summer.
It will have 25 guest rooms and suites. Rooms have spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Included will be an indoor pool, fitness center, recreation room, ballroom, dining room, golf shop, locker rooms, boardroom and 17-seat theater. It has an underground parking garage.
