ANNOUNCE SPECIAL CUSTOMER SERVICE WORKSHOPS
Stuart, Virginia -- A collaboration of representatives from several local organizations has been formed to announce a series of free “Outstanding Customer Service� Workshops that are being offered free of charge to residents of Patrick County for the purpose of developing workforce skills in our community. A certificate will be given to all residents who participate in the three sessions.
Two of the workshops will feature nationally known keynote speaker, Dr. Dale Henry. Dr. Henry is a master teacher who grew up in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, an area bountiful in both hospitality and story-telling. He has been a teacher, principal, dean of the oldest college in Tennessee, a businessman, author, a speaker and trainer. Dale has been in customer service over half his life and his story-telling ability propelled him to become a teacher.
Representatives of the following organizations have worked together to the offer the workshops: Patrick County Education Foundation, Workforce Career Center – Patrick County, Patrick County Schools, Patrick County Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Stuart, and Primland Resort. Brooks Bradbury, General Manager of Primland, will facilitate each session.
The workshops featuring Dr. Henry will be held at the Patrick County Community Center in Stuart, on February 13th from 9 a.m. to Noon; and February 24th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The third workshop is scheduled on March 5 from ________to ________. Free refreshments will be provided by the West Piedmont Workforce Investment Board.
The “Outstanding Customer Service� Workshop sessions are open to all residents of Patrick County, minimum of 18 years old. Attendees are encouraged to attend all three sessions. A certificate will be provided to those residents completing the three session workshop. Primland Resort will offer preferential interviews to those residents completing the workshops in the process of hiring staff for its new Lodge to open in June.

SCHEDULE:
All three workshops will be held at the Stuart Community Center located at 212 Johnson Street in Stuart. Please plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to each session.
