Patrick County schools opened on August 13, 2008. Dr. Roger Morris reports an upward trend in enrollment since 1999. In the past 3 years Patrick County has gained about 120 children between ages 5 and 19.

At Stuart Elementary, the largest elementary school in the dividions, there are 477 students, said principal Cyndi Williams. "The high school is in serious need of space," said Dr. Morrise.
