Our park has undergone an amazing transformation since last summer. With the help, dedication, and hard work of our community, we are building the Dan River Park.
We have an exciting schedule of events planned for our 3rd Annual Dan River Day at the Park on June 14, 2008. The day will begin with a softball tournament at 10am. The Dan River Park team will take on the Primland team. Kids games will begin at 12 noon at the Primland Soccer Field. Music will also begin around lunchtime, featuring 2 Young 2 Old and The Fox River Band. The dedication of the Primland Soccer Field and the Rick Sowers Parking Lot will begin at 2:30 with Congressman Rick Boucher and Former Governor Gerald Balilies joining the day’s activities. BBQ and hot dogs will be served throughout the day. The day will conclude with Cow Patty Bingo at 5pm, an exciting event certain to make you laugh.
