The Willis Gap Community Center Open Jam has been jamming for over 26 years. Mr. Otto and Nellie Hiatt began
the open jam in their home. It got so large they moved it to the Willis Gap Community Center, 144 The Hollow Road,
Ararat, VA 24053. It is a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway (Mabry's Mill), a few miles from Meadows Of Dan
(Primland Arberge Resort), a few miles from Mount Airy, NC (Mayberry) Home of (Andy Griffith). Appalachian Music
