STANBURN 'FALL HARVEST' FESTIVAL ON SEPTEMBER 27TH

Our Fall Harvest Festival will be September 27 from Noon-6pm. Marcie Horne will be opening from 12:30-2:30 and Slick Jr. & the Reactors will be playing from 3:00-6:00. Tickets are $10 in advance (in the tasting room, online, and at Honduras Coffee Shop) and $15 at the gate. Ages 12-20 and designated drivers are $5. Come out and enjoy the day with us. Vineyard and winery tours are available, music, wine, and a day of fun for everyone.
2014 Harvest
Our harvest is in full swing now. We picked our Chardonnay back on September 4th and kept about 3.5 tons and sent 3.4 tons to Chateau Morrisette. Then on September 7 we picked about 1.8 tons of Barbera with the help of a lot of our friends. We have gotten too much rain at the end of the growing season here, so they needed to get in tanks and away from Mother Nature! We picked our Traminette on September 9, sending about 2 tons to Morrisette and keeping almost 3 tons for us. Our Vidal Blanc will be picked tomorrow, September 16 (Dad's birthday). We will let you know how that one goes! That leaves the Cabernet Franc to be picked soon we hope. Our new destemmer/crusher is working out better than we even hoped it would, and we are looking forward to trying out our new must pump and three new tanks that we have put in at the winery.
