THE BLACK DOG MUSIC AND BBQ FESTIVAL SEPTEMBER 13TH

September 14, 2014
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th FROM 11AM-5PM This Saturday, Chateau Morrisette presents The Black Dog Music and BBQ Festival, a Kansas City Barbecue Society sanctioned event. There will be over twenty competitors seeking their share of the $7200 purse. (A few spaces left if you want to compete...call Sally 540-593-9223). Additionally, festival goers can purchase BBQ from five different venders. Music will be provided by the Grammy nominated, Nashville based band, The Greencards. Immediately following at about 2:30, the ever-popular Mountain Heart will take the stage.

The weather forecast calls for sunny skies with a chance of passing showers. The event goes on rain or shine. It should be a beautiful fall day in the Blue Ridge Mountains with highs only reaching about 70. Bring your pop up tents, your rain gear (just in case), a light jacket or sweater, and a hearty appetite for day full of fun, food and great music. Tickets purchased in advance are only $25 and include all day wine tastings from six different wineries, a souvenir glass and some great entertainment. Wine and craft-beer will be offered for sale. If you wait to get your tickets at the gate, the cost is $35. Free parking on site. Shuttle to the winery provided all day long. Dogs on a leash are always welcome. Proceeds from People's Choice benefit Floyd Cares.
