The Homestead Artisan Series highlights traditional and historic crafts and folk arts. It connects participants to skills and practices from the region's past and offers a creative experience for today. Each class is designed to be beginner-friendly. August 30, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. $100 includes all materials Discover the art and alchemy of natural dyeing in the Indigo Shibori class with Jennifer Reis. In this immersive, hands-on experience, participants will learn how to prepare an indigo dye vat and explore a variety of traditional pattern-making techniques, including binding, stitching, and clamping. Jennifer will guide you through the full dyeing process—from creating designs to finishing your pieces—revealing the magic as fabric transforms in the indigo bath. Each participant will dye four napkins and one tea towel to take home, with additional scarves and tea towels available for purchase.
