Patrick County VA 250 Celebration Schedule June 29th through July 5th, 2026

Join us for the Patrick County VA250 - The celebration of America's 250th Birthday. Monday, June 29, 2026 - Laurel Hill (Spend the evening at the Letcher Gravesite in Ararat for an educational talk from local author Tom Perry. Learn more about Revolutionary War camps and the legacy of William Letcher. Refreshments will be provided.) / Tuesday, June 30, 2026 - Reynolds Homestead / Wednesday and Thursday, July 1 and July 2, 2026 - Fairy Stone State Park (Come with us to experience the beginnings of Bluegrass music and follow its evolution as it traveled across the ocean and settled in the Appalachian Mountains. This program will track the origin of this style of music back to its roots and the influence the Scottish, Irish, and English pioneers who settled along the Appalachian Mountains had on it. The Bluegrass band, the "Kitchen Pickers", will play representative songs applicable to our area.) / Friday, July 3, 2026 - Town of Stuart and Woolwine Ruritans, Saturday, July 4, 2026 - Meadows of Dan Ruritans and DeHart Park in Stuart(Fireworks Display) / Sunday, July 5, 2026: TBD.
