The Virginia Emergency Management Association is pleased to be presenting Steve Allen, recently retired Emergency Management Coordinator with Patrick County, the prestigious Stanley Everett Crigger Humaitarian Award.
The Virginia Emergency Management Association is pleased to be presenting Steve Allen, recently retired Emergency Management Coordinator with Patrick County, the prestigious Stanley Everett Crigger Humanitarian Award, at the upcoming Patrick County Board of Supervisors meeting on Monday, July 12th at 6:00 PM in the Board Room of the Patrick County Administrative Building at 106 Rucker Street in Stuart.
This award recognizes the emergency management professional who has served others with empathy, kindness and compassion through their work. This award is named in honor of the late Stan Crigger, who demonstrated these qualities to his colleagues and community relentlessly throughout his life and career. It acknowledges that emergency management is more than hours on the job, but service to others.
Steve Allen personifies the meaning of this award, having served the community for more than 25 yars with 14 of those as Emergency Management Coordinator for Patrick County.
Representatives from the Virginia Emergency Management Association along with personnel from the Virginia Department of Emergency Management will be on hand to present this award.
