Craig Teller Named as Patrick County Administrator

Today, the Patrick County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to hire Craig Teller as County Administrator on an interim basis.
Teller will start immediately and assist the Board with initial planning, review of management practices, implementation of needed controls, and the search for a permanent County Administrator . Chairman Jonathan Large said “Teller is the perfect choice to help us get off to a good start. He brings a wealth of experience and will be able to give us unbiased, objective guidance as we make initial decisions that are crucial to the future of our county. The fact that Teller does not want and will not seek the permanent position of County Administrator , affords the Board the benefit of a good, neutral hand in the search for candidates.�
Teller is a retired Army Colonel and attorney. He retired in 2004 after having served in a variety of high-profile positions over 21 years, including Chief of the Army Environmental Law Division, Assistant Army General Counsel at the Pentagon, Staff Judge Advocate for Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, and Chief of Administrative and Civil Law for Fort Jackson, SC.
