County Board Approves issuance of Bonds for School Improvements

The Patrick County Board of Supervisors approved the issuance of $37,869,925 general obligation bonds to fund new classrooms and renovations of 7 county schools
The meeting was held on December 10, 2007.
The vote was 3-2, with Roger Martin, David Young, and Crystal Harris voting in favor. With Jonathan Large and Danny Foley voting against it.
This was the last meeting for Martin, Young and Foley. Starting 2008 Karl Weiss, Dr. Lock Boyce and Ron Knight will be added to the board.
The actual cost will be $23,978,425 funded over a 20-year period by state Literary Fund Loan at 2 % interest. Payments won't begin until 2010-11 budget year.
