VMNH Education Programs Reaching New Heights in New Facility
Over 14,000 visitors have participated in museum education
programs through on-site and outreach education since the new VMNH facility in
Martinsville opened on March 31, 2007.
The museum's state-of-the art classrooms and resources, distance learning center,
and interactive exhibits have all had an extraordinary impact on the quality of
educational programs that are offered. The museum's close proximity to J. Frank
Wilson Memorial Park has also added an extra element that the previous museum
lacked.
