This was the 17TH Annual J.E.B. Stuart Birthplace Civil War Encampment and Reenactment
The J.E.B. Stuart Birthplace Trust in cooperation with the 1st Kentucky Volunteers and the 51st Virginia Infantry operated this year's encampment.
This was part of Jackson’s famous Flank Attack during the Battle of Chancellorsville, May of 1863.
Event activities included living history and military demonstrations, meeting Generals Lee, Jackson, Longstreet and Stuart, period authors and speakers. Civil War sutlers, food vendors, string music and fashion shows, a Civil War ball and Candlelight Tour on Saturday evening and a period church service on Sunday morning.
