Mr. Coy Vipperman, age 84 of Meadows of Dan, VA passed away on Thursday. He was the owner of Vesta Supply for 35 years.
Mr. Coy Davis Vipperman, age 84 of Meadows of Dan, Virginia, passed away Thursday after a lengthy illness. He was born in Patrick County on October 5, 1928 to the late Elder James Madison Vipperman and Beulah Wood Vipperman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Rev. Wayne Vipperman and a great-nephew, Christopher Bradford. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and was a long time member of Conner’s View Primitive Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator of Vesta Supply for 35 years and a charter member of Vesta Rescue Squad. He was a former member of the Patrick County Highway Safety Committee, Patrick County Economic Development Commission, First National Bank Advisory Board, PARC Workshop Board, FHA County Committee, and a recipient of the Mason’s Community Builder Award.
Mr. Vipperman is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gertrude Wood Vipperman of the home
