Jerry Hughes who has served at the head of Patrick County Education Foundation for several years, has now been named as Town Manager for Independence, VA

See News story on page 3C, Martinsville Bulletin, Oct. 21, 2012 On Monday at its October board meeting, the WPWIB (Work Force Investment Board) recognized outgoing board member Jerry Hughes for his decade-long service on the board. He recently relocated to Independence, Virginia, to accept the town manager position there. Hughes was formerly the executive director of the Patrick County Education Foundation.
