Steps to Voting Absentee
1) Make Sure You are Registered to Vote - October 15th is the Deadline
2) Ensure your Reason for Voting Absentee is an Acceptable Reason that is Recognized by the Commonwealth
3) Submit Application for an Absentee Ballot
a. By Mail, Fax or Email – All applications by mail, fax or email must be received in your local voter registration office by 5 PM on the Tuesday PRIOR to Election Day (October 30th).
b. In Person – All applications can be returned in person to the local voter registration office by 5 PM on November 3rd.
4) Cast Your Absentee Ballot
a. By Mail – If you submit your ballot through mail, your local voter registration office must receive it in the mail on or before Election Day.
b. In Person – Voters may submit their application and cast their ballot on the same day with acceptable voter identification through 5 PM on November 3rd.
