Chick-Fil-A will open a new store today on Rockford Street in Mt. Airy, NC. On Wednesday, there was a tent city in the parking lot of those atttempting to be the first 100 customers and win a sandwich meal per week for one year.

No, this wasn’t due to an influx of political refugees or even a local version of the Occupy Wall Street movement, but the grand opening of a new Chick-fil-A restaurant. Lured by the chance to be one of its first 100 customers and win a Chick-fil-A sandwich meal per week for a year, people from all over began showing up bright and early Wednesday.
