Here is a brief write up for the Patrick County Partnership for the arts 5k. Attached are the files for the all the age group winners and the list and placement for all the runners/walkers.
Sixty eight participants ran or walked through Stuart on Saturday morning. The group enjoyed great weather as the made their way through the 3.1 mile course. Money raised supports the Patrick County Partnership for the Arts which helps art teachers in the schools and other programs throughout the county. First place male was Brian Miller from Woodlawn in a time of 20:04, followed by Alfredo Garcia from Bassett in 20:15, and third was Jonathan Adcock from Stuart in a time of 20:44. Overall Male Masters was Mark Joyce from Bassett in a time of 21:07. Overall female winner is Dana DeHart from Stuart in 26:47, second place was Debbie Gwynn from Mt. Airy in a time of 27:49, and third was Laura Smith of Patrick Springs in a time of 29:34. We had an age range from seven year olds to a seventy four year old .Several runners came from out of town to participate. From Elkin, Woodlawn, Bassett, Dublin, Mt. Airy, and Martinsville area.
