Griffith Lumber Among Finalist for Murphy Resilence Awards

Griffith Lumber of Woolwine, VA is among 11 finalists for five winning spots in the 3rd Annual Tayloe Murphy Resilence Awards competition held by University of VA Darden School of Business.
"The goal of the Resilence Awards is to bring well-deserved attention to highly successful businesses in parts of Virginia that some might unwisely overlook", said Greg Fairchild, associate professor of business at Darden School of Business.
The Griffith family has run its Patrick County sawmill operation, selling wholesale lumber and byproducts such as wood chips, sawdust, biomass fuel and bark mulch to customers around the world, for four generations.
