Martinsville Woman Killed After Jumping Out of Car Source: WSET TV - Lynchburg - Danville Patrick Co., VA - State Police say a Martinsville woman was killed in a bizarre hit and run accident in Patrick County. It happened Tuesday night on Route 58 near Route 694. Investigators say a woman who was riding in an SUV jumped out of the moving vehicle. After landing in the right lane, she was hit by a car. That driver didn't stop. 30-year-old Brittney Fretwell was taken to the hospital where she later died. State Police are looking for a white or light colored sedan with square headlights that might have front end or under carriage damage.
