The proposed meals tax will be on the November ballot for residents to consider this new proposal by Patrick County Board of Supervisors.

This would be a County-Wide meals tax, that would impose 4% tax on prepared meals in restaurants, delis, lunch counters and grocery stores. Exempt from this would be charitable and non profit organizations, schools, churches, and government related organizations. Employers that provide meals to employees would be exempt too.
