Groundbreaking For US Route 58 Widening Project-Laurel Fork

The official groundbreaking for construction of the 8.2 mile segment of four lane U. S. Route 58, costing $120 million was held on Tuesday, June 26, 2011 at Laurel Fork, VA.
This is the Tri-County Laurel Fork segment that includes 3 counties, Carroll, Patrick and Floyd.
This is the largest construction project in the Salem District of VDOT.
Rt. 58 is the longest roadway in Virginia.
