Travel back to 1981 to re-enjoy (or enjoy for the first time) “Chariots of Fire,” the Academy Award Winning film that depicts the true story of two British track athletes competing in the 1924 Summer Olympics.
One is a devout Scottish missionary who runs for God, the other is a Jewish student at Cambridge who runs for fame and to escape prejudice. A perfect movie to get everyone ready for the London Olympics coming up in a month!
Dinner is going to be AWESOME! A very special fresh corn salad to start; followed by mulligatawny soup – an Indian soup quickly incorporated into the British palate during their world expansion; “bangers and mash” – a delicacy of mild sausages served with mashed potatoes and covered with a caramelized onion gravy; broccoli with almonds; and a choice of lemon, strawberry, or butter tarts!
A true British feast. Dinner is only $12 per person, but reservations are required. We have 6 seats left and would love to fill the house for a great move and lovely dinner.
Please respond by e-mail if you would like to attend. The movie is free and no reservations are required. Dinner starts promptly at 6:00 and the movie at 7:00.
Hope to see you here!
