PRESS RELEASE: Move, Grow, and Learn with Kids on the Move Looking for Some Healthy Summer Fun? Virginia Cooperative Extension Family and Consumer Sciences with help from Patrick County Parks and Recreation, is offering Kids on the Move for children ages six to twelve from July 9 through the 13 (9:00 AM to -3:00 PM daily) at Dehart Park in Stuart. The program is designed to give children five days of active fun, while teaching them how to make choices for health and nutrition. Each day, campers will spend their mornings playing active group games and learning about nutrition and health, including a gardening component. After a healthy lunch, provided through the USDA summer feeding program, campers will spend their afternoons swimming at the DeHart Park pool. Healthy snacks will be provided twice daily and campers will be encouraged to drink water throughout the day. Join us to Move, Grow, and Learn! The camp fee is $40.00 per child. Enrollment is limited to fifty campers. Registration must be completed by June 29, 2010.
