Plans for the 8th Annual Virginia Covered Bridge Festival are Underway

The event will be held on Saturday, June 16th in Woolwine from 10:00am till 4:00pm and offers an enjoyable family day. The Festival is hosted and manned by volunteers from the Woolwine Ruritan Club, Woolwine Volunteer Fire Department and Smith River Rescue Squad.
There will be several live music genres, including Bluegrass, Country, Blues, Americana, Old Time and Gospel, at two separate locations near Jacks Creek & Bob White Covered Bridges.
The Festival will host a Cruise-In or display of antique and other interesting vehicles. Horse & Mule drawn wagon rides will again be available. There will be vendors, a 5-K Run, a duck race in the river near Jacks Creek Bridge and other various activities for children.
The public is invited to attend and "experience the simple life".
